Robotic Giant Insects Take's It's First Step
A robot that exactly look's like giant insect has taken its first step, advancing cautiously on it's crunch like limbs. It has six legs and this six legged bot is known as hector, this robot can move each of the six legs independently which allows it to tackle a wider range of surfaces than other robots which have same body but has three legs and they walk with this three legs at a time.
This great techinical development in field of techonology was given by Axel Schneider from Bielefeld University in germany and his team has developed a light weight shell and it has approximately 18 elastic joints to mimic muscles. the legs are programmed such that it can swing or remain still by few simple rules.
